Hi! I am a 24-year-old Probation Worker and Law Student. I am passionate about books, tea, cakes, Hufflepuff and the occasional Amaretto Sour! This is my little place to chat about the things that I totally love. Basically, it’s all about books, with a little bit of other bits and bobs thrown in for good measure!
I am a very chatty person and will be willing to chat to anyone on the subject of books! So please get in touch via one of the following methods!
You can email me on firstname.lastname@example.org but please note: if you are emailing me for a review request, please first read my review policy found on the home page. It will save both you and I time as I will not respond to review requests that do not fall within with lines of what I will accept.
If you’d like to get to know me a little better, check out all of the tag posts that I have done here.
I hope you stick around and check out a post or two.
PLEASE NOTE: AT THE MOMENT I AM NOT ACCEPTING EBOOKS, EXCEPT IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES. THIS IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT I HAVE NO WORKING E-READER AND REALLY DO NOT LIKE READING ON OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES.
PLEASE NOT THAT I AM OPEN TO REQUESTS AT THIS TIME BUT CAN ONLY TAKE FEW AS I AM SO BUSY WITH THE OTHER ASPECTS OF MY LIFE. I ALSO WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REPLY TO ALL EMAILS
I am currently OPEN to review requests. However, at the moment, I’m being pretty picky because I’m up to my eyeballs in work work and university work. Please read the following policy to ensure that your request fits, any requests that clearly haven’t followed the policy will be ignored. Please do not think me ignorant but as stated above, trying to juggle a full-time job along with a law degree is difficult enough on its own. Thank you x
I am open to reading the following genres.
Contemporary, dystopian, science fiction, mystery, fantasy, magical realism and fairytale retellings.
Literary fiction, mystery/thriller and historical fiction
I really enjoy reading non-fiction but am also picky with these too… I am really not much into biographies or sports, travel or nature.
Poetry and short story anthologies may be considered but I am very picky about these! I am also a really big fan of middle-grade books.
Please include the following information in your request:
The summary, the release date, any relevant information (especially anything that shows why you think I would like the book), if you have a time frame for when you expect the review to be posted, please let me know that as that will greatly influence my decision and I will have to see if we can commit to that timeline.
Before sending me a review request please understand that by accepting or receiving a book, I do not guarantee that it will be read immediately or posted on the blog immediately. I’ve got an ever-growing work that needs to be done in other areas of my life along with the fact that I am also very much a mood reader. I will try my very best to read and review in a timely manner but it’s not always doable. If the book is an ARC, I will try to publish the review on or around the release date and not before.
All of my reviews will be my honest opinion and it is quite possibly that I won’t enjoy your book and my review will be clear of that. Please understand that I will not write a glowing review just because you sent me the book, although I will always be respectful. I pride myself on honesty.
If you have followed my policy and your book falls under the list of things I am happy to read and you have NOT heard from me, I really do apologise but sometimes I’m not able to respond to every request, or it may have just slipped under my radar, please send another email. Thank you x
