Let it be known that I have suffered with sleep ‘issues’ for as long as I can remember…
I get about an average of about 4 hours of sleep a night, for a variety of reasons. I work full time and I’m currently in the middle of my law degree, as well as trying to keep up with my blog and actually getting some reading for pleasure done.
I had been to the doctors several times and given different prescriptions including sleeping tablets and ‘sleep inducing’ antihistamines. The first of which worked, but the doctor refused to give me more than a few nights worth (for obvious reasons) the latter of which did absolutely nothing.
At 3am, while unable to sleep (shock horror), I found myself in the depths of the internet trying to find something, ANYTHING to help me sleep, and what do you know, the Lush Sleepy hand and body lotion popped it. Turns out the internet had been raving about it for months. Desperate for some good quality sleep (and I was just about ready to try anything at this point) I headed to my local Lush store to buy myself some. I was so lucky that day. Turns out I was just in time to pick up the last one they had in stock (they’d been flying off the shelves like hot cakes!).
I’ve had this for about 2 months now and wanted to give you my thoughts on it. Now I will start by saying that this is not a miracle product. I still do not get 8 hours of sleep a night. However, I will say that I love this little tub of loveliness. The base is the Lush Dream Cream and it is scented with lavender and tonka absolute which is just heavenly. And it is the scent that won me over with this moisturiser. It is a true lavender scent with nothing artificial about it. I massage some of the body lotion into my hands, arms and chest just before getting into bed and the smell soothes me into relaxation. It does not keep me asleep all night but it is an absolute delight to use and I would recommend it to everyone.
Try it for yourself!
If you have tried this yet, you definitely should. At £7.95 for 95g and £13.95 for 215g its not the cheapest body lotion on the market, which is why I use it sparsely, but its certainly worth the investment for some rest and relaxation. You can get yours here.
